Ubuntu 24.04 · x86_64
Software Sushi Coding Assistant with OpenCode
Getting started
1. Launch and connect
Choose the recommended x86_64 instance type in the offer, with at least 4 GiB RAM and 24 GiB encrypted gp3 root storage. Require IMDSv2 and attach your own instance profile with Session Manager permissions. Allow the outbound connectivity required by Session Manager and any selected provider. No inbound application rule is needed. Wait for cloud-init and automatic first boot to finish, then open a Session Manager shell and switch to ubuntu.
sudo -iu ubuntu2. Start in the terminal
The first-boot service prepares /var/lib/opencode/workspace/calculator.py and preserves existing work. OpenCode is a terminal program in this image; there is no installed persistent web UI to open. No application port-forwarding or public ingress rule is needed.
opencode --version
bash /opt/sushi/docs/demo.sh3. Understand the supplied fixture
The demo uses a localhost test provider to exercise real file-edit behavior and independent Python assertions. Its result and original mode 0600 output are under ~/opencode-demo. It invokes no paid provider and is labelled a fixture. This does not verify that a commercial model answered your task.
python3 /opt/opencode/inputs.py verify4. Use your own provider and project
Change to a version-controlled or backed-up project directory, configure credentials in the OpenCode credential store after launch or use an appropriately scoped Bedrock instance role, and select your model explicitly. The following uses Nova Lite in us-east-1; the customer role must allow the relevant Bedrock model invocation and model access. Set AWS_PROFILE=default for the instance-role credential chain, or select your own configured profile. No AWS keys or provider credits are supplied. Coding tools can modify files: inspect the resulting diff and rerun your tests.
AWS_REGION=us-east-1 AWS_PROFILE=default opencode run --model amazon-bedrock/amazon.nova-lite-v1:0 'Explain this calculator and suggest a small tested improvement'5. Keep work and recover
Back up your project with OpenCode user data/session state before replacing an instance. Existing work is retained through service/instance restarts. Review any failed task output locally; provider messages may contain source or project data. Do not post raw task logs containing secrets. Original sources and component notices are under /opt/opencode/inputs and /usr/share/doc/opencode.
sudo systemctl status sushi-opencode-firstboot.serviceSoftware price and support
